Moscow Exchange’s gold market rises 11% to 46.6 tns in 2016

MOSCOW, Jan 10 (PRIME) -- The physical amount of deals with gold on Russia’s Moscow Exchange increased by 11.3% on the year to 46.579 tonnes in 2016, the bourse said in a statement on Tuesday.

The silver market rose 18.9% to 1.670 tonnes, the exchange said.

In monetary terms, the combined amount of deals with gold and silver signed on the bourse totaled more than 124.8 billion rubles in 2016, which is a 32.6% increase on the year.

Participants of the Moscow Exchange’s market of precious metals are 50 banks and 11 investment companies.
